The Plummer House is a must-visit when you are in Rochester. The house was commissioned in 1917 and belonged to Dr. Stanley Plummer, the founder of The Mayo Clinic. It is the largest not-for-profit organization devoted to education, research and practice of medicine. It also happens to be the biggest employer in the city. Mayo Clinic put the name of Rochester on the world map.
You can also enjoy the Summer Market and Music Festival in Rochester through June to August, which comes to life every Thursday. There is also the Rochesterfest that takes place here every June, and it has been going on for the last 35+ years.
